iGCSE Edexcel 9-1 Biology Chemistry Physics Chpt 1&2 Revision Mat Broadsheet Bundle

iGCSE Edexcel 9-1 Biology Chemistry Physics Chpt 1&2 Revision Mat Broadsheet Bundle

This is a bundle of A3 summary sheets I made for my students using the Pearson iGCSE Student book: the questions in each box inspire students to summarise the work that they need to know for this section. This resource includes the first two chapters of each of the Biology (Section A: Life Processes and The Variety of Living Organisms) and Chemistry (Section A: Kinetic Theory, Diffusion, Atomic Structure) topics, and Chapters 1 and 2 of the Physics topic (Movement and postion and Forces and Shape). I am gradually adding the other Chapters as I go along. I would print each of these topics on an A3 sheet double sided, so that the same topic is on a double-sided sheet. It would also be good to pop each sheet onto a double-sided coloured A3 sheet, then you can make each topic (Bio/Chem/Physics) a different colour to easily refer to them in class.

AQA GCSE Chemistry Levelled Grid: Atomic Structure and Bonding Questions(with answers)

AQA GCSE Chemistry Levelled Grid: Atomic Structure and Bonding Questions(with answers)

A levelled learning grid covering a range of questions on atomic structure and bonding (covering both ionic and covalent). I have made the grid against specification points for what is required for each level. Some content is slightly repetitive, but you could tailor which columns you want students to do based on individual ability. This is suited for mid to high ability students and can be used for AQA chemistry only GCSE. I have provided answers so students can self-assess or add on missing details. Ideal for revision, a homework or extension task or a synoptic lesson covering fundamental content. Any mistakes please let me know, and if you could rate/review I would seriously appreciate it :)

Number Prefixes

Number Prefixes

The file contains 10 pages for the numbers 1-10. Common prefixes used in science and given in the teal rectangle and the prefixes for naming hydrocarbons are given in the purple hexagons. They work best when stuck above the board at the front of the class. The students I’ve used these with find them very useful for working out the number of atoms present in chemical compounds based on their name.

AQA 9-1 Chemistry C1,C2,C3,C4 New to teaching resource pack

AQA 9-1 Chemistry C1,C2,C3,C4 New to teaching resource pack

A truly vast PowerPoint for use with aqa chemistry/trilogy chemistry (8462/8464). Intended to help teachers new to the 9-1 aqa chemistry course get through the first few chapters of the new course: ideally you would read through the relevant slides, and cut and paste as necessary to help build your own lessons to save time on planning at the most stressful time of the year. Some parts are just text: you may wish to source your own images. Covers just about everything in the first four chapters in excruciating detail Contains loads of practice questions with model answers High context language for EAL learners Written with grade 9 and A-level in mind (See about page for more information) This collates the other 2 PowerPoints on my profile, with a few minor corrections, so you only need download this one (older computers may struggle to load this). Note: as this constitutes my parting gift to UK teaching, it is unlikely to be updated further, but if you find any glaring errors, leave a comment and I will fix them. I hope you find this free document useful.
