These worksheets were designed to go along with the Power Point presentation in the ‘Lesson on Depression for teens’ pack, which you can find here. The two page worksheet can also be used on it’s own, to help students think about common misconceptions about depression (the first activity- ‘myth vs reality’ where students circle the realities and cross out the myths!); make a list of ‘good distractions’ that can help to lift depression; and answer key questions about depression. Included is a colour and grayscale version of the worksheet. These worksheets are perfect for Key Stage 3 PSHE, English or RE lessons. They could also be used as starter activities with Key Stage 4 and 5 students.

Royal Wedding Maths Lesson

Royal Wedding Maths Lesson

**L.O: **I can apply my mathematics skills to practical problem solving. S.C I can choose the perfect wedding venue using my knowledge of area and perimeter. I can find the correct measurements for the wedding cake using my knowledge of shapes I can select the cheapest option out of two given options. I can apply all my mathematical skills effectively. I can present my work at a high standard. I can work effectively and collaboratively in a group. Curriculum Links: Number: • Solve number and practical problems that recognising numbers, addition, multiplication and division. • Solve addition and subtraction multi-step problems in contexts, deciding which operations and methods to use and why. Geometry: • Illustrate and name parts of circles, including radius, diameter and circumference and know that the diameter is twice the radius. • To be able to work out the perimeter, area, circumpherence, diameter and the volume of shapes. Ratio and proportion: • Solve problems involving unequal sharing and grouping using knowledge of fractions and multiples. Following the latest news report that Meghan Markle’s dad has had to pull out of the wedding, I have created a maths lesson for Year 6. As their SATs are finished it would be nice for them to start project like activites. This puts the pupils in place of the wedding planner meaning that they have to use a range of mathematical skills. They work in groups and give a formal presentation at the end explaining their working out and the reasons for making the choices they have. They will do this lesson Friday so there is an emphasis of there only being one day left so they have to work quickly and efficiently. I hope you enjoy this! I have attached a detailed lesson plan which makes everything clear.

PSHE: New PSHE 2018-19 Part 2

10 hours of new PSHE lessons on some of the most pertinent and pressing issues facing students in 2018/19. These topics have been identified by the PSHE Association as essentials for the coming year and so this bundle has been planned following their recommendations. This is part two of a two part pack. PART ONE All 10 lesson packs are complete with at least one hour-long powerpoint, accompanying differentiated worksheets, clip links with questions, plenaries, clear LOs, starters and engaging, varied main task activities. All are well differentiated to three levels throughout to enable clear evidence of progress for all students. These lessons have been selected to be in this bundle as they all focus on relatively new issues or ones which need further awareness amongst young people in an ever-changing world full of mental health issues, new technology, crime and potentially tough futures which lie ahead. These resources have been highly-rated individually by TES users, follow the same consistent format and are easy to follow. There is zero extra work required, although each lesson is still completely editable too. I use all of these myself as a Head of PSHE and Citizenship and I really hope you find them excellent value. I’ve put literally months of time into this to make these lessons top quality for my own school team. I have ‘One Year of PSHE’ Packs for Years 7, 8, 9 and KS4.
