About teaching in Scotland

Scottish schools follow a different curriculum to that used in the England and Wales. The Curriculum for Excellence allows teachers in Scotland more freedom to make decisions on what they teach pupils. As opposed to taking GCSEs and A-levels, Scottish students study for National 5s, Higher and Advanced Higher exams.
