We are an Ofsted Outstanding, 11-18 academy based in the large friendly town of Worksop, near Sheffield and Nottingham.

Since joining the Outwood Family in 2012, we were rated Outstanding by Ofsted in 2017 and are among the top schools for Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire for GCSE results, including English and Maths. We are committed to developing our staff and we are delighted that after its latest inspection, Ofsted noted that ‘the support provided for teachers’ development is strong and wide ranging.’

We believe that learning should be both enjoyable and enriching. We are innovators with a knowledge-rich curriculum, designed to personalise learning for every student, helping them to reach their potential. With a holistic view of education, we value vocational, practical, creative and academic excellence equally, creating an environment where every student can shine.

We have won numerous awards as a school and we have been accredited with the prestigious IQM Award, which highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us. We are also proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award.

We work hard to ensure we reduce workload on staff, allowing more time in the classroom to put our vision of students first, raising standards and transforming lives into practice.

As a founding Trust of the National Institute of Education (NIoT), we will actively invest in your future through working closely with the Outwood Institute of Education and NIoT to offer access to a wide range of CPD opportunities, with all teaching staff receiving a minimum of two hours of CPD each week.
