Job overview

We are looking for a diligent and committed individual to join our Compliance Team working at the City of London School for Girls and City of London School. You will need to be observant, precise, and able to communicate assertively and professionally to ensure high standards of compliance are maintained throughout both Schools’ policies and practice.

Working under the direction of the Head of Compliance, Premises and Operations you will ensure the schools remain compliant and safeguard against operational risks. You will support a wide range of projects and initiatives, working closely with senior management and key departments to ensure all appropriate measures are in place to meet legislative and regulatory requirements.

Your new role:

  • Providing a range of administrative support to ensure the efficient running of the compliance department and aligning practices and processes for both schools.
  • The first point of contact for all compliance-related queries, providing advice on a range of matters across both schools about the Independent School Standards (ISI) and Regulations, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE), Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with key departments and building strong working relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and take responsibility for the policy schedules to ensure timely updates.
  • To maintain the staff training records and organise new or renewal courses to ensure staff are trained to an appropriate level.

Salary

Actual Salary: £31,552 to £35,633 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.

Contract and Hours

This role is offered on a permanent basis at 35 hours per week (school hours 8.30 am-4.30 pm), term-time only (36 weeks per year) plus 3 weeks during school holidays. The total number of weeks worked per year is 39 weeks.
