Tes is supporting the appointment of a Cover Teacher to join a school based in West Sussex.
Relocation package will be considered
This is a multi-award winning specialist school for young people aged 11-19 with a diagnosis of autism.
You will be qualified to degree level and have a teaching qualification enabling you to teach up to GCSE level and above. Experience of teaching and supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those who have a diagnosis of autism and associated disorders, is also necessary.
Class sizes are typically no larger than eight students and each class has a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The role demands the application of specialised teaching approaches, systematic planning and record keeping and the management and deployment of support staff as well as good ICT skills. You will be a Tutor for a form group and support them with pastoral, parent contact and report writing duties including attending EHCP reviews.
