We seek an exceptional candidate, who is committed to high standards and can communicate to young people a passionate enthusiasm for English with a relentless focus on the achievement of every student. We want a Curriculum Leader who is innovative, resilient and reflective, ready for a challenge and able to support colleagues in becoming outstanding practitioners, thus supporting the school on its journey to outstanding.

The successful candidate will be an effective and inspirational classroom teacher. They will have a track record of successful outcomes for students from a wide range of backgrounds. They must have a good understanding of the current educational developments within the subject and have a passion for English, curriculum and pedagogy. They will have the ability to develop others to improve performance and have the highest expectations of students.

Maricourt was founded in 1957 under the trusteeship of the Sisters of Mercy. Our Catholic ethos pervades all aspects of our school life, making Maricourt a focused, caring and happy community where each individual can flourish. Our Catholic ethos and the Sisters of Mercy charism is at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on living out our mission statement of love and respect.
