St. George’s School is a unique provision for SEN as a secondary school for students with severe and complex needs.

 

Deputy Headteacher

Leadership Scale L19 - L25 (Salary range: £69,022 – £74,282).

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the recently appointed Headteacher to ensure high standards are sustained on a continued development journey for the community of St George’s School.


The governing body and senior leadership team are seeking a confident, well organised and motivated individual to join the team. The selection process will provide opportunities for candidates to demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills when communicating with all stakeholders.


The successful candidate will receive an induction package and appropriate CPD opportunities alongside a coaching and mentoring approach.


The post currently includes the following responsibilities, which could be negotiated according to experience.


Designated Safeguarding Lead

Attendance Lead

Interventions Manager

External Agencies Liaison

Management & Co-ordination of Reduced Hours Provision

Educational Visits Co-Ordinator

Parental Liaison Lead

ECT Mentor / Leadership Mentor/ Coach

School Timetable including Enrichment

Collation of class lists

The post is a non teaching post but there is an expectation to deliver training to staff and colleagues and deliver regularly to the governing body.
