About the school:
Thames Valley School (NASAT) is a specialist School, transforming the lives of young people on the autism spectrum. We are creating a true community school which is linked with, community groups, parents, local authorities, and other schools in the region.
We aim to deliver the highest level of education. Together, we will create a safe, positive and structured environment in which every young person is respected and encouraged to achieve independence (through academic, employment and personal skills development).
NAS Academies Trust (NASAT) currently includes two other free schools, Church Lawton School & Vanguard School. The school works to maximise the standards, curriculum offer, training and employment opportunities. This role will enable you to influence & contribute to the future of the NAS Academies Trust schools.
Who we are looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of developing the school and as Deputy Principal, you will be working closely with the Principal and the Local Governing Body and be a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team. We are looking for someone who can support the Principal to create a distinctive ethos and philosophy so that from the moment a person enters the building they will know this is a school where students are respected, achieve beyond what is expected, are empowered to make positive choices about their own lives and have rich and varied experiences.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities (including those of innovation and vision), as well as demonstrating specialist ASD knowledge (through experience and practice).

About Thames Valley School
The Liberty Academy Trust is an education charity established in 2022. Our vision is to create a world that works for autistic children and young people, by providing an exceptional educational offer so that they achieve success now and are well-prepared for adulthood. Thames Valley School in Reading is an Autism Specific Specialist Free School, providing education to 54 children and young people aged 4 to 16. The school helps autistic students build on their strengths, learning, confidence and enjoyment.
