Where teachers can teach and student learn

Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is now recruiting the very best teachers to start in early August 2023 and are seeking a secondary Design Technology teacher to join our fantastic working environment. We are looking for a specialism in Food Technology, Resistant Materials or Textiles.

IES is a highly successful school group in Sweden with staff and students from all over the world contributing to a dynamic international atmosphere. Our schools follow the Swedish national curriculum and are bilingual with 50% of teaching in Swedish and 50% in English.

We have around 30,000 students enrolled in our 46 schools across the country with approximately 3,500 members of staff. Our schools are free of charge for students and open to all. We accept applications from students on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are looking for teachers who, like us, believe in giving students the opportunity to realise their full potential, whatever their background. You must also be passionate about your subjects and able to inspire your students. You have the tools to create a calm learning environment and can differentiate your teaching.

Unsure about Brexit?

IES employs teachers from around the world and for over 25 years has helped our teachers to obtain the right to live and work in Sweden. Needing a visa in Europe may be new for you, but we are experts in applying for work permits. IES will support you every step of the way.

Application

Applicants will be interviewed for vacancies in Sundbyberg, as well as for the 45 other IES schools across Sweden. There may be positions in another school for teachers of different subjects, so if part of a teaching couple, please both submit an application.

To apply, submit your C.V. and a cover letter, describing why you are interested in working in Sweden by 12 February, 2023.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to a digital interview or an interview in person in London during the week commencing 20 February, 2023 (day and time TBC).
