Durham School for Girls Doha is seeking to appoint a strong and inspirational Head of Secondary  to join our Senior Leadership Team ready for the next academic Year 2022/23

  Must be fully vaccinated as this is a regulation of Qatar.

We are looking for passionate leader build upon the success of our founding Head of Secondary and continue to develop secondary to be an outstanding centre of excellence here in Qatar. 

Candidates need to be experienced school leaders with strong vision and values inline with our school philosophy and expectations. In Durham School for Girls, our values mix with those of Qatari values and underpin our academic and pastoral programmes. Candidates will have the opportunity to lead an exceptional team and take our school to a new level. In all leadership roles at this time you will need to have grit, determination, professionalism  and a good sense of humor. 

Being part of the Leadership team, the Head of Secondary will work directly with the Head of Primary and the School Principal. Being part of the Durham Team is being part of the Durham Family. We are a school who believes in the wellbeing of all the school community. 

Durham School for Girls opened in 2019 and we now have nearly 1200 students . Secondary is 5 form entry in KS3 and 4 form entry in KS4. Our new sixth Form will grow next year as our Year 11's role up. As a secondary we offer over 14 options for IGCSE on top of the core subjects - Maths, English, Science and Arabic. 

Following in the footsteps of Durham School UK, Durham School for Girls Doha aims to continue the heritage of strong pastoral care, inclusion and individual progress that make the School “Distinctively Durham”. Within the school there will be a strong ethos based on the school philosophy and values. Centered around the girl’s individual development, we aim to ensure that we strive for a balance in both academic and personal, social development ensuring confidence for life.

Your role will be fundamental in growing and developing the Secondary department and hands on in the molding and design of the school. We are looking for teachers who are ready for the challenge, passionate about learning and have the vision and flexibility to become part of one of the most exciting projects in Qatar.
