Job overview

Freelance Director, Actor, Coach or Teacher

Required to work within the drama and theatre department

Temporary and part-time contract

Rate of pay: £45 per hour

We are looking for someone to support the students in the drama and theatre department. Students are currently preparing for their A level scripted performance exams, monologue exams and devising exams. The students are highly motivated and talented and are very keen to do well.

Scripted students are approximately halfway through the rehearsal process and devising students are coming to the final stages with performances scheduled for 2nd and 9th March. The students are taught by two experienced teachers. However, one of the teachers will be taking a leave of absence during this time, owing to unforeseen circumstances. This role is designed therefore to support the head of department during this period. The postholder would be leading some rehearsals independently and co-directing with the head of department for others.

There will be an opportunity to meet the head of department and discuss the needs of the student cohort and procedures involved.

Dates:

20th Feb - 3rd March, 9.00am - 3.15pm (except 2nd March which will be 9.00am - 9.00pm). Half days during week commencing 6th February, dates TBC.
