We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and innovative individual to join our Trust in the role of Head of Academy at Park View Primary Academy.   

At this key time in the academy’s development we require an ambitious, determined and committed individual to secure further positive outcomes for our young people, staff, families, schools and the wider community. Through strong leadership, enthusiasm for learning and the ability to inspire and motivate others as a role model, you will harness the key strengths and energy of the academy. This post will provide opportunities to establish innovative ways of leading and managing learning as well as allowing the development of creative approaches and solutions which will further raise standards and create a climate of success for everyone.  

The Head of Academy will have the required leadership experience, vision and ambition coupled with strong management and communication skills to motivate the staff team, student body and community to secure rapid and sustainable improvement, building capacity in teaching, leadership and support at all levels. The desire and ability to achieve challenging targets for high standards of behaviour, progress and attainment across and beyond the Academy is essential.  

The post offers the opportunity to join the senior leadership team in an Academy that benefits from being part of a significant Multi-Academy Trust and is committed to making a difference to communities on a local level, while individually improving the life chances of all young people.

Park View Primary Academy is a non-denominational sponsor-led co-educational primary academy with around 250 pupils, aged 3 - 11, serving the Cross Flatts Park area in Beeston, Leeds.

Park View became an academy in September 2012 when it joined Delta Academies Trust, and it works with other academies in Delta, along with the Arooj network and other schools across Leeds. It is also a designated National Support School, charged with providing additional leadership capability in other schools.

Being a Delta Academies Trust school also means that all staff have access to the highest quality of training and CPD and frequently work in collaborative clusters to share and develop new and innovative strategies.

Vision and Values

Park View Primary Academy aims to develop innovative young learners with high aspirations. Pupils are expected to follow the three basic rules, to be “Proud, Productive and Positive”. It places great emphasis on respect for others, and encourages challenge, independence, curiosity and investigative learning. Staff and pupils are expected to work as a team so that productive learning goes beyond the classroom to families and home learning.

The school also celebrates the heritage of its locality and the rich cultural diversity of its community.
