The role will also focus on creating a high quality extended school provision, including responsibility for developing industry links and ensuring high quality IAG within this field. The new post-holder will also take on some computing teaching at William Perkin during the first two years of the role before moving to Ada Lovelace’s new permanent accommodation.

Ada Lovelace will share William Perkin’s innovative curriculum model with core subjects being taught in the morning in 50-minute periods, and The Practical and Creative subject options, known as the Electives, taking place in the afternoon. The elective subject areas are Creative Technologies, Art, Music, Sport and the Application of Science.

About Ada Lovelace Church of England High School

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School is the newest school in the Twyford CE Academies Trust having moved into its brand-new permanent site in north Ealing in September 2020. The school has now reached full capacity, educating just over 1050 students across years 7 to 13. Ada Lovelace is named after the Victorian pioneer of computing and has a specialism in Digital Technologies which has led to the launch of T-levels at the school in Digital Production, Design and Development as well as Laboratory Science. A new T-level in Accounting will be offered from 2025. Being part of the top-performing Multi-Academies Trust in the UK has enabled Ada Lovelace to achieve outstanding GCSE results with a Progress 8 score of +1.33 in 2023 and +1.4 in 2024. Whilst the school has a strong Christian ethos, its admissions policy is open rather than faith-based and the school is heavily oversubscribed. It is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (January 2023) and is due to be inspected by SIAMS in the 2024/25 academic year. More information can be found on the school website: https://adalovelace.org.uk/

Ada Lovelace CE High School is consulting on its Admissions policy for entry into Year 7 in September 2026 to include ‘Children of Staff’ places. If, as we expect, the proposal is approved, the admissions policy will include the following criterion: ‘Children of all staff’ where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made or where the member of staff has been recruited to a post where there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
