Head of Music

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Head of Music to join an academy based in Croydon.

The academy welcomed its first year 7 cohort in September 2020 and currently provides children in East Croydon with a first-class academic education, based on their strongly held values.

They aspire to become one of the best schools in the country, providing all their pupils with an excellent education that empowers them to seize greatness. With KS3 complete, they are now growing into KS4 with their first Year 10 cohort starting in September 2023.

The role

The academy is seeking an exceptional candidate as Head of Music, to work in close partnership with the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team to embed the school’s vision and develop an outstanding school that empowers their pupils to take responsibility and seize greatness.

You will lead the development of their music department with a curriculum designed to inspire a love of music and musicianship both as individuals and as groups and collaborate with other schools.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the school. They will provide one-to-one support, coaching and access to extensive network training to support career development and leadership opportunities.
