Job overview

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational leader to become the next Head of St Hilda’s Prep School for Girls in September 2022. The successful candidate will demonstrate a firm commitment to the ethos of the School and the Aldenham Foundation.

The Head is appointed by the Governors and is accountable to them, with responsibility for working with the Governing Body in a spirit of openness and co operation to set the aims, policies and strategic direction of the School.

The Head is responsible for appointing and leading a strong team of staff and for creating an environment in which pupils and staff are inspired to develop their academic potential within a culture of enthusiastic and inclusive participation.

The successful candidate will be appointed to begin work in September 2022 and will be offered a generous salary and other benefits. The Head of St Hilda’s is able to apply for membership of IAPS.

Applicants are required to complete the Aldenham Foundation application form which can be found on the school website sthildasbushey.com and also to submit a supporting letter. This letter should be addressed to Mrs Sarah Altman, Chair of The Aldenham Foundation. The letter of application should outline your interest in the post and how your professional and personal qualities would allow you to take on the role.

Selected candidates will be invited to visit St Hilda’s School and Aldenham to gain a full understanding of the role, prior to interviews which are scheduled to take place at Aldenham in the week commencing 7 February2022.
