We seek a head teacher who is forward looking and will be an inspirational leader for our village school.

The school is located on the beautiful Heritage Coast in the East Riding of Yorkshire, close to the North Yorkshire border which offers unique opportunities in the rich outdoor environment. Children gain a variety of experiences including visits to the RSPB centre on Bempton cliffs and the nearby Jurassic beaches.  The school maintains positive relationships with the community and we seek a head teacher who will continue to develop them further.

We are looking for an individual who will continue our ethos of keeping children at the heart of our work and who will understand the limitations/challenges of working in a village school but who has big ambitions.  Staff are dedicated and committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils in a warm nurturing environment.

You will:

• have a proven track record of successful leadership
• promote effective relationships with all pupils, staff, governors, parents, other schools together with the local community and other external bodies
• be innovative and use research to support and inform your planning, teaching and leadership
• ensure professional development builds outstanding teaching and have a proven track record of supporting others to improve their teaching
• understand the importance of preparing children for a culturally diverse world
• be approachable and an excellent communicator
• work effectively with the governing body.

You will be offered a comprehensive three year induction package.
