Due to the promotion of the existing Headteacher, we are looking to appoint a leader who has the vision, drive and determination to continue our improvement journey and maintain the school’s outstanding status and National Teaching School status. This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced senior leader to not only shape the future of our school, but to support the trust to grow and develop. There will be further opportunities for career progression as the trust grows.

Tyldesley Primary School is a very popular, oversubscribed 2 form entry school, situated on a relatively new housing development in Tyldesley. The pupils are delightful and behaviour across the school is exemplary. Attendance is high and outcomes for pupils have been consistently high for many years. The school benefits from an excellent modern building with two recent extensions.

Tyldesley Primary is a very caring, inclusive school where positive relationships are pivotal to the school’s success. The talented staff are committed, hardworking and contribute significantly to school improvement. We want our new Headteacher to further develop our staff team and ensure the high expectations and ambitions we have for our pupils continues.

As a National Teaching School, we are committed to professional development and work in partnership with many local schools. We are seeking a Headteacher who can enhance the work of the Teaching School and develop it further.

As the Sponsor School for Leading Learners Multi-Academy Trust, Tyldesley provides significant school to school support to our three schools in West Yorkshire. Our new Headteacher must be committed to partnership working and understand the importance of sharing best practice.
