Ambitions Academies Trust (AAT) is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with a passion of providing outstanding education for all learners. We currently have 13 academies within the Trust made up of Primary, Secondary and Special Education throughout Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth. We are strongly committed to supporting colleagues in developing their careers further and offer excellent CPD opportunities in addition to developing aspiring teachers through our Ambitions Training school.

We currently have the following vacancy in our Trust Head Office at Evering Avenue.

HR Partner

Contract:

Full-time 37 hours per week, term-time plus 3 weeks only, 42 working weeks

Salary Scale:

Grade 8 (points 27-30): £31,894.00 - £34,373.00 (FTE) pro rata (term time plus 3 weeks): £29,158.11 - £31,424.46

The Trust has already created several centralised functions to support the delivery of outstanding education, including HR, Finance and Estates.  This is an exciting time for an experienced HR Partner to join our team and work in partnership with the senior leadership teams throughout our academies to improve performance and implement Trust people strategies and initiatives.

You will provide HR advice and guidance on a wide range of activities, including but not limited to: Safeguarding & safer recruitment, workforce planning, recruitment & selection, employee relations, performance management, reward & recognition, staff development, health & wellbeing, change management, policy management, employee engagement and equality & diversity.

Working in collaboration with the respective Principal and wider leadership team at each Academy you will proactively identify and resolve any people capacity or capability issues that inhibit performance and student achievement, whilst coaching leaders to resolve any issues.

To be effective within the role you will need to be able to demonstrate extensive and proven experience of resolving complex HR matters and have experience of engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders to improve people performance.

This role will work in collaboration with the wider HR Department and led by the HR Director to design and implement Trust wide people initiatives.

You will be required to line manage a team of Administration Leads who will report directly to you but provide HR support to the Principal at a local level within their Academy.

This is an exciting, rewarding and varied role, but you will need to enjoy a fast-paced challenge at a time of change for our team. Proven HR leadership experience is essential and whilst a Level 7 CIPD qualification would be an advantage, the Trust would consider sponsoring the successful candidate to achieve or further their current qualification status.

The Trust will provide extensive training on internal management information systems and will coach you to understand the complexities of the education sector, so candidates from all sectors that believe that they have the required skills & values are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year. The primary work location would be based at Trust Head office, but you will be required to travel to our academies on a regular basis where travel expenses will be paid.

Closing date for applications: 9.00 am on Tuesday 4th January 2022

Assessment day will take place: Monday 10th January 2022
