About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as a MSI Consultant to make a difference to the lives of the children and young people we support. The role exists to support children and young people who are deafblind or have sensory impairments and additional needs. As part of this, you will undertake assessments in variety of settings and offer advice to identify educational needs. You will use your tact, diplomacy and influencing skills to facilitate the provision of support to meet those needs. This will include working in conjunction with other professionals from education, health, social care and other voluntary agencies. As a member of our specialist advisory service you will undertake an active role in the provision and development of our charitable activities. This will include hosting family events so that those we support and their families can connect and form crucial networks. This is a flexible role with full or part time hours available. It will require the ability to travel around our East locality and work from our centre in Market Deeping as required. As part of the role you would line manager a Children and Family Support Worker and lead the service provision in the East.
About you
Working as part of a national team you will be motivated, engaging and driven to deliver a vibrant service which makes a huge impact to the lives of children and young people. It is essential that you hold a qualification in teaching children who are deafblind / multi-sensory impaired (MSI). Alternatively, you could be qualified in teaching children with a both a hearing and visual impairment with additional qualifications in MSI. A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
