Rugby School are looking to appoint an experienced Netball Development Officer on a fixed term basis for 1 year from March 2023.

 

Netball is the most popular female sport at Rugby School. Over 250 girls play netball each year from ages 14 to 18. We attend all county tournaments along with national cup competitions. Many of our girls represent Warwickshire and regional pathways. We cater for 19 teams in the Lent term and play fixtures every Saturday afternoon during term time.

 

We want a coach to lead on the running of netball at Rugby School. They will develop the Netball strategy at the School, in conjunction with Director of Sport. They will work with all age groups to ensure that participation rates are maintained and our netball profile is enhanced through inter-school fixtures, county, regional and netball competitions.

 

We pride ourselves on offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a vastly experienced department, alongside regular training in sports coaching, match analysis, research and guiding aspiring athletes into the world of professional sports via our links with professional sports organisations.

 

They must have a minimum level 2 qualification in sports coaching (and have experience of working with young athletes within a netball coaching environment. Weekly hours may vary depending on our fixture calendar.

 

The role is for 33 hours per week and is for 35 weeks of the year (term time plus).
