Nursery Class Teacher (SEND)

Crosfield is a lively, multicultural Nursery School with additional Early Years Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision at Malling Close. Known as the Crosfield Rainbow Group, this caters for up to 27 children, aged 2-4 years with a range of complex medical and/or significant learning needs and disabilities.

The school also serves as hub of the Crosfield Children’s Centre group, offering services across a range of sites, including Malling Close. This is an exciting opportunity to join an outward looking nursery school, committed to Croydon Best Start and ambitious in engaging with partner services to provide high quality early education for young children. 

The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced and committed class teacher to have shared responsibility for the learning and development of children across the Rainbow Group provision. The successful applicant will also have a key role in supporting colleagues’ observation, assessment and record keeping.

Our Rainbow Group nursery class teacher will be:

*An outstanding early years practitioner with experience of working with children who have complex SEND

*Passionate about early years education and able to motivate and inspire others

*Committed to partnership working and able to work with the SENCO and other professional services to set high expectations and provide an aspirational learning environment where every child is enabled to make good progress

*Hard working and enthusiastic with the capacity to grow and develop in the role

*Able to demonstrate experience of leading and managing colleagues to improve outcomes
