About Embley
Embley is a leading independent selective day and boarding school for over 680 children aged 2 to 18 (boarding from Year 7) on the edge of the New Forest National Park, situated on a stunning 130-acre campus in the beautiful Hampshire countryside.
Embley is a vibrant community where people matter, results count and where a passion for excellence drives everything we do. Our core purpose is to have a positive impact in the world through the success of our students and staff. The world is challenging and changing and our task is to ensure that every young person leaves Embley with the tools to make progress a reality.
There are three core guiding principles to all that we do:
Academic ambition - We have unlimited ambition for every child at Embley, where they are able to achieve their best.
Belief - We believe in the principles that drive our school. We are hungry and humble: humble enough to pause and reflect, hungry enough to act.
Compassion - We are a community that cares. The world needs more compassion and kindness at its heart, and that begins at schools like ours where we help children appreciate that the world does not stop at the end of our own experiences. It is through compassion and kindness that we achieve amazing things.
Our public exam results demonstrate the significance of our academic approach and how we achieve the very best outcomes for students at Embley. Our latest A Level results place us in the top 5% of schools nationally. This is evidence that the Embley way gets the best from every child. The majority of our students gained at least one and in many cases two grades above their baseline grades.
We are an Apple Distinguished School (2024-2027) which recognises our focus on providing a forward thinking and dynamic education. Our Prep School was one of seven schools across the country to be a finalist in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards.
This an exciting time to join the team at Embley. Student numbers have grown in recent years, driving the requirement to expand and develop the teaching and support team. If you share our ambition of providing the very best school experience for students while creating an excellent workplace for staff, and you are seeking an exciting, challenging and rewarding career, we encourage you to apply for this role.
