We are a successful selective Academy Trust school and are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational part time teacher of Science to join our innovative department in September 2021.
We are looking for a teacher with an enthusiasm for Science KS3/KS4 (the ability to teach Physics would be advantageous). There may also be an opportunity to teach a small amount of ICT at KS3.
It is suited to new entrants to the profession as well as more experienced teachers.

About Poole Grammar School
Located in the coastal town of Poole, Dorset, Poole Grammar School is a boys’ grammar school. Founded in 1903, the school has existed on its current site since 1966, converting to academy status in 2012. The school maintains a close relationship with the local girls’ grammar school, Parkstone Grammar, with a small amount of shared lessons occurring between the two of them. Poole Grammar School has around 1200 pupils, 300 of whom reside in the school’s sixth form, making it larger than the average secondary school. Although the vast majority of teaching takes place on-site, a very small number of students do make use of external provision.

As a selective institution, Poole Grammar School sets a high academic standard for entry. Potential students are expected to pass multiple exams across a broad range of subjects, including mathematics and reading comprehension.
