Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a SEND Co-Ordinator (SENDCo/SENCo) for a permanent role within a large Secondary school in Barnsley. The role would be a full time permanent position for the right candidate. You will be responsible for the provision of support to pupils with varying Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to enable them to successfully access mainstream education with the correct support.

The role

This role is a permanent position with a start date of January 2022. You will be working closely along side SLT, Pastoral Leaders and outside agencies. The role will require an experienced, resilient and nurturing person who has a solid understanding of SEND Regulations and processes, the ability to navigate EHCP information for each student and ability to provide sound line management to a large team of support staff.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of SENDCO, you will:

• Hold the NASENCO qualification.

• Have experience (at least 1 year) as a whole school SENDCO within a Secondary setting.

• Have a genuine desire to become part of and successfully lead a committed team of SEND support staff.

• Have a passion for accessible learning for students of all backgrounds.
