Job overview

Contract: Permanent and 18-month Fixed Term Contract Opportunities

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

Are you an organised, efficient, and proactive administrator looking to join a fast-paced operations environment, where you will provide first class operational support to our customers and qualifications? We have exciting opportunities to join us as a Senior Administrator.

About the role

OCR (Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations) is a leading UK exam board. We provide qualifications which engage people of all ages and abilities at school, college, in work or through part-time learning programmes. Our general and vocational qualifications equip learners with the knowledge and skills they need for their future, helping them achieve their full potential.

OCR Operations is made up of several departments each responsible for key processes that ensure we can deliver qualifications securely and successfully to schools and students in the UK.

Within this role you will oversee the timely and accurate delivery of an agreed set of operational processes. You will support the Assessment Processing management team, including supervising temporary staff during peak processing times.

You will lead and support continuous process improvement across Operations, and support in-series planning and readiness activities. You will establish collaborative working relationships with your colleagues, learning, and sharing best practice together and also take a lead role in user testing activity.

This is your opportunity to pursue potential by sharing your commitment and values with us! If you do not want to miss out, please take a look at the job description attached at the end of the advert. We want to hear from you.

A bit about you

This really is the perfect role for you if you are enthusiastic and proactive, with an aptitude for learning new skills and processes quickly and accurately. As a strong team player, diplomatic, trustworthy, loyal, and pragmatic you will have a responsible ‘can do' approach and work effectively to meet deadlines.

You demonstrate the ability to prioritise effectively by being flexible, resilient, particularly where deadlines may conflict, or work may be required at short notice.

You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office products (particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word). Prior knowledge of our in-house operations system is an advantage, but full training will be given.

Rewards and benefits

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

·      Group personal pension scheme

·      Discretionary annual bonus

·      Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary

·      Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance

·      Green travel schemes

·      28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

We also offer flexible and hybrid working options from day one. We will consider any work arrangements if you wish to work flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.

Ready to pursue your potential? Apply now.

We review applications on an ongoing basis, with a closing date for all applications being 7 February 2023. We may interview suitable candidates as and when they apply, so please do not delay putting your application in. We reserve the right to close the campaign early once we have received sufficient applications for the role.

Please note that successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory background checks including DBS due to working in a regulated industry.

Cambridge University Press & Assessment is unable to issue sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Visa route for this role as it does not meet the minimum skill and/or salary requirements.

This role is part of the OCR 'refer a friend' scheme. If you have been referred by an employee of Cambridge University Press & Assessment, please enter their name on the appropriate section during the application process.
