This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop their career as a Sparks Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery.
The Sheffield College is located on Granville Road in Sheffield, 5 minutes’ walk from the main train station.
Over the last 3 years the Construction Department has experienced significant growth in our student base due to high demand and our links with industry have also stimulated growth in apprenticeships.
We are now seeking to appoint a highly qualified and enthusiastic timber trades specialist to deliver this aspect of the curriculum up to L3 on our City & Guilds courses.
The College has high standards of practice, and associated success rates are expected to be achieved. Your strengths will be industry based in timber trades and teaching experience.
The post involves teaching to joinery students on a range of vocational courses, both full time and part time. You will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing curriculum and team development.
The successful candidate should either hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one for candidates applying straight from industry or for those that have minimal teaching experience.
Please refer to the job role descriptor for a more detailed description.
You will join our outstanding team, will be self-motivated and be part of a successful and growing department with Excellence, Employability, Enterprise and Engagement at its core.
