Role

To teach Early Years, Key stage 1 or Key stage 2 pupils achieving positive outcomes for all groups of students.  

1.    Teach in the specialism areas of Early Years, KS1 or KS2 to all abilities. 

2.    Ensure teaching and learning in the classroom maximises the potential of all pupils. 

3.    Be accountable for the progress of pupils taught.

4.    Contribute to the development and delivery of an innovative and engaging curriculum. 

5.    Be dedicated to personal continued professional development. 

6.    To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide opportunities for personal and academic growth. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

·     Ensure good and better progress for all pupils within groups taught through the planning and preparation of high quality lessons which engage, motivate and support learners and adhere to the Academy Teaching and Learning Strategy

·     Strive to deliver a consistently excellent standard of teaching 

·     Leadership responsibilities to be developed in response to the candidate’s strengths allowing an opportunity for career progression when appropriate

·     Take responsibility within own teaching areas and in the execution of general duties for the creation of a positive climate for learning which results in positive, respectful attitudes from pupils

·     Consistently apply the academy behaviour policy to support all colleagues in establishing high standards of behaviour from pupils, and in order that pupils have parity of treatment and expectations in all areas of the academy

The trust currently employs over 500 members of staff and is responsible for educating and developing almost 4,000 pupils between the ages of 3 to 16. The Trust consists of three secondary schools - Leeds City Academy, Leeds East Academy and Leeds West Academy, and also recently welcomed its first primary school Alder Tree Primary Academy on 1st December 2020.

White Rose Academies Trust is a member of Luminate Education Group. Other
