Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of an experienced Teacher of Computer Science to join a growing department and play a key role in the subject’s continued development, identity and evolution at a school based in Oxfordshire.

It’s an exciting time to join the school as they are offering Computer Science for the first time this year, presenting plenty of scope for you to contribute to the growth of the department and shape facilities.

You will also be teaching students who are hugely excited by the chance to study Computer Science, delivering well-planned, engaging and challenging lessons and working with them on an exciting array of projects, stretching their knowledge and skills.

You will also contribute to ToK, EE or EPQ candidate supervision. You will also be fully supportive of the school’s academic vision and pedagogical principles.

You will need to be a well-qualified teacher, with a good degree from a recognised university. Experience of working with children or young people, and, in most cases, a post-graduate teaching qualification is equally important.

Experience of teaching IB, while desirable, is by no means essential.

All applicants need to have the Right to Work in the UK to be considered for the role.

By applying to this job advertisement you are providing consent for the Tes Recruitment team to propose and discuss your application with the employer.
