Job overview
"What I value most about the maths department at Fullbrook is the level of creativity and support, offering opportunities to enhance my teaching and take on new responsibilities.”
E Gill – Teacher of Maths
Fullbrook is a mixed 11-18 Academy classified by Ofsted in March 2017 as Good. In 2017, 84% of students achieved five or more GCSEs at 4+ including English and Maths.
At Fullbrook we believe that all students should be challenged to achieve more than they ever thought possible, and offer a variety of extra-curricular activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh scheme to enhance our students’ talents.
We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Teacher of Mathematics to join a forward thinking and supportive Faculty. Mathematics is a popular choice both at GCSE and A level. Results are very good with 90% achieving 9 to 4 in GCSE in 2017 and 82% achieving 3 levels of progress from KS2. At A Level in 2017 75% of Maths students achieved an A* to C grade and over 80% of Further Maths students achieved an A or A* grade.
Fullbrook has a fully, tailored CPD programme which supports the needs of staff and encourages progression.
This post would be suitable for any teacher wishing to broaden their experience, or an ambitious and dynamic NQT.

About Fullbrook School
As a large, mixed, comprehensive we provide a high quality education for students from Year 7 to 13, with our F6 students studying their A-levels in our new sixth form building and facilities. Our research-based approach to learning leads to strong outcomes for our students, with many going on to study at Russell Group Universities. Despite our size, we know our students well and value their individual skills and aspirations.
Our most recent OFSTED (March 22) made reference to the ‘Fullbrook family’ which captures our warm, positive atmosphere. Our aim is to ensure that during their time at Fullbrook, our students develop into confident and articulate young adults with a lifelong thirst for knowledge and a clear desire to make a positive contribution to society.
Fullbrook is based in New Haw, Surrey with excellent transport links, whether it be by bus, train or car. The nearest train station is West Byfleet (about 8 minutes walk) and we are closely situated to both the M25 and A3. We have free parking on site.
