Job overview

Located just outside the city of Oxford, OLA is a Catholic, co-educational, independent day school welcoming pupils aged 7 to 18 of all faiths and none.

OLA has a busy and friendly Music Department, which is staffed by the Director of Music and one other classroom teacher, plus twelve visiting teachers.  We currently seek a qualified and experienced visiting teacher of oboe who can teach pupils from beginner to post-grade-8 standard.  As our Lower School is located on the same site instrumental teachers are shared between schools, so the successful candidate may be required to teach Lower School pupils as well as seniors. Initially, we are looking for someone to teach 1-2 hours per week but the successful candidate will have opportunity and support to recruit new pupils over time.

If you feel that you have the experience and enthusiasm to join this key department we would be delighted to hear from you. Full details of the role and application process are available in the attached application pack.

Applications will be considered on  a rolling basis until a successful appointment is made.
