Vocational Teacher

Responsible to: Headteacher and Deputy Head

Location: The Oaks, Telford

Post: This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week (Part time hours maybe considered for the right candidate) 

JOB PURPOSE: 

The Oaks are seeking to appoint a Vocational Teacher with knowledge of delivering practical and creative vocational subjects to the interests of our students. Examples of relevant interests link to Level 1-2 BTEC Qualifications, such as; Hospitality & Catering, Animal Care, Horticulture, Creative Media and Design Technology. The role includes planning and delivering a creative vocational curriculum to students as we prepare them for the world of employment. The successful applicant will be able to use their knowledge and expertise to address any gaps in the students’ learning and support our Careers Strategy and the vocational offer we have for our young people. 

To ensure the educational needs of all young people in Amberleigh are met by providing a consistent and efficient service congruent with the organisation’s aim, objectives, and philosophy. Specifically, for this role – to attend to the educational needs of our young people within the Therapeutic Community context.
