I have used these speeches for Year 11 CCEA English Language Writing for Purpose and Audience. The speech topics are very relevant and relatable to the pupils.
I use this to model examples of highly persuasive speeches and what the pupils should be aiming for. I also use it as a way for them to identify the devices that are being used frequently e.g. facts and figures, list of three.
It is a handy worksheet for them to read and annotate especially when analysing purpose and audience which will then help them to structure their own answers.

Not all speeches appropriate for age range. American, so not as relevant as could be, for example the one going into detail on american political system!
