The first of three resource packs covering the Transport in Animals topic.

This resource pack contains a comprehensive 20 slide presentation with four worksheets to be completed by students as the presentation is worked through.

The presentation and worksheets cover the following subtopics:
1.) The need for a circulatory system
2.) Different types of circulatory system (including advantages and disadvantages of the different types)
3.) Structure and function of blood vessels with corresponding worksheet (1)
4.) Structure of blood vessels related to their function with corresponding worksheet (2)
5.) Exchange at capillaries with corresponding worksheet (3) - there is a support version provided too with the words given for students to complete the cloze activity if needed
6.) Formation of tissue fluid with corresponding worksheet (4) also includes mathematical calculations for the students on pressure
7.) Comparison of blood plasma, tissue fluid and lymph

Answers are given in the presentation to worksheets 1 and 2 and answers sheets are provided for worksheets 3 and 4.
The notes given with the presentation (seen under the slide when not in presentation mode) explain which worksheet should be used with which slide/s.

This resource pack should take approximately 2 hours to work through.
Although designed for OCR A students, the content is extremely similar for all A Level Biology specifications.

Resource packs 2 and 3 to follow shortly - these will cover the heart structure, cardiac cycle, coordination of the cardiac cycle and transport of carbon dioxide and oxygen.
