Alibi Game to practise the past tenses
This game requires students to ask and answer questions using the passé composé and the imparfait. It can be done as a whole class or in several groups of at least 2 suspects and some detectives. A crime has been committed, suspects arrested and now the detectives will interrogate them to decide if they are innocent or guilty. The powerpoint presentation describes the situation in French and provides the scaffold for the proceedings of the game as well as notes for the teacher. The story can easily be altered.
