  1. What is a cartouche? Looking at Egyptian hieroglyphics.
  2. What do we want to find out? Thinking about the topic, what questions do the pupils have already.
  3. Make a pyramid. Cross-curricular activity with maths making 3D shapes.
  4. Ancient Egypt - two lands. Cross-curricular activity with Geography- shading a map of Egypt to show the fertile land by the river and the barren desert.
  5. Why were the pyramids built? Cross-curricular activity with Computing - pupils are given online search tips and conduct research.
  6. How to make papyrus. A look at how sources of information degrade over time and then go on to look at a sequencing activity, making papyrus.
