This resource can be adapted for any subject area at any key stage. It calculates progress between 2 data points, enables teachers to write personalised comments with space for a student response and it also has 5 what went well (WWW) and even better if (EBI) comments as well. Finally, there is a pupil response section for students to show progress from the EBI comments. I would advise departments to create the comments through collaboration so there is consistency (MFL comments are currently being used to demonstrate how the feedback sheet works). Teachers complete the data entry section using these codes and then 2 feedback sheets per A4 page are generated for up to 40 students. All teachers have to do is print, cut and give the sheets to the students to stick in. I have attached a guide to explain how to use it.
Over the years, I developed marking codes because I found myself hand writing the same feedback over and over again which seemed inefficient. Plus, there was no guarantee the students read it. So I killed 2 birds with 1 stone by just writing abbreviated codes and asking students to write the extended feedback from a sheet, thereby guaranteeing they had at least read it. They would then respond to the feedback as well. Whilst conducting an internal marking review, a colleague pointed out that students were wasting time by copying 3 or 4 targets which certainly didn't promote deeper thinking. This new tool now combines the best of both worlds because I am not writing long (often illegible) comments. Instead, students are focused on reading the comments and using the time to reflect and extend their learning by responding to the teacher feedback.

Not what I expected. I thought there would be some templates of WWW comments that I could use and adapt. There is nothing in this of use to me. I wasted £5
