In this bundle, our fourth book The Secret Recipe, promotes our fourth message in our growth mindset series.
In this story two naughty bodz steal a recipe, which they think will allow them to get clever quickly. As the story unfolds it becomes evident that there is no such thing and that the only way to success is by hard work and determination. The story will captivate the imagination of your pupils and will not disappoint. We pride ourselves on a story rich in language. This story can also be used for PSHE, moral values and assemblies.
The Bloom’s resource pack contains a PowerPoint and printable worksheets. The first part of this resource uses high-order thinking skills question techniques, based on Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning. The questions relate to different sections of the story and are asked in the chronological sequence. Following the questions is a task, which requires pupils to make up their own set of questions about the story, using a given template.
The second part of this pack is a challenging grammar task, testing various elements of English grammar, documented in the KS2 literacy curriculum. Each part of the task is modelled with examples. There is a printable version also available.
