These lessons cover British Values - what these are and their origin, how we vote, general elections and democracy today and the UK political system and parties. The lessons include 3 Powerpoints, dozens of accompanying worksheets, clip tasks, creative tasks, and well differentiated literacy tasks which can be used as GCSE Citizenship preparation.
Includes:
1. Who are the main political parties in the UK and how do we decide who to vote for? How does voting work in practice in genera elections?
2. How do we apply our liberties today? How do we vote? What are general elections? How do we apply our democratic rights?
3. What are British Values and British Liberties - what is their origin (Magna Carta, what British Values actually are and how we can apply them today in our school - part of the lesson is a class mural creation project which was part of a successful Citizenship Topic Day).
These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow. All our resources are editable (so easy to adapt for your classes).

Nice selection of activities and content. Well designed.
Without the mural activity, the starter and video activity doesn't a whole lesson. Also, there are mixed objectives from two subjects (Art & PSHE) which don't work combined but are required as extension for higher ability.
Well made and easy to use. Kept the students engaged and on task.
