DR ABC has been in the pipeline for many years but with the announcement that First Aid is to be taught in all schools the timing could not be better!

The inspiration behind it comes from 2 of my grandchildren (Oscar and Lilly) who are so inquisitive and keen to learn about first aid. The cartoon features them and their younger cousin (Gracie) as they learn about first aid and put it into practice. Children by their nature are keen to learn. But not all children are keen to pick up a book. DR ABC has been produced in a magazine format to encourage even the most reluctant reader to pick it up.

The magazine gives interesting facts and challenges learning. It has a broad range of activities to engage key stage 2 pupils and will work equally as well with practical first aid teaching or as standalone activity.
