Edexcel (9-1) topic 4 (Natural selection and genetic modification) revision cards

This resource is designed to be A5 laminated with activities on the front and answers on the back. Pupils are encouraged to use dry wipe pens to complete the card, check their answers, erase their first attempt and try again as part of KS4 revision for the Edexcel Combined Science (Biology) specification.

These allow pupils to work independently and self assess their understanding of individual specification points. Inclusion of specification points on the cards with a difficulty rating also allows pupils to target their revision to parts that they do not understand.

Differentiation is included on each individual card as ‘core’ activities, ‘stretch’ activities and the more difficult ‘apply’ activities.

Specification points are taken from the Edexcel Combined Science (Biology) specification although these cards are relevant to the content of other exam board specifications as well.
