A write-in booklet resource for Higher GCSE students working on this new GCSE content. The distributive rule builds logically on the concept of partitioning and avoids tricks which often fail when students need to expand the product of three pairs of brackets.

This is structured with 5 examples covering 2 pairs of brackets with unusual arrangements of terms, 2 pairs of brackets involving a quadratic * linear expression, expanding the product of three pairs of brackets and quadratics in two variables.

I have used this successfully with students in year 10 and able students in year 9.
