Based on the story of Flat Stanley.
Hand drawn pictures for the children to cut out, sequence, write about and colour in.
*Includes captions for children who are not writing and only sequencing and matching the description
To differentiate:
-Support could cut out and sequence the pictures and match with the captions
-Core children can sequence and use the word bank to also write about the pictures
-More able children can sequence and write independently with given challenges such as ‘Include at least 3 time adverbials’
Sequencing activities usually take a few sessions.
- Cut, order and stick the activities.
- Writing captions for the first half of the images
- Writing for the second half of the activities
I usually ask the children to colour after they have met the objectives for that session and finish colouring in at the end.
Black and white. No colour ink needed!
