This is a plan and resources for a beginner’s French lesson to use with KS2. It involves children learning the vocabulary for the days of the week in French. The plan could be used for an individual lesson, or as part of a larger unit.
The plan gives details of a game for a starter, how to teach the vocabulary, a whole class listening game, an active speaking game, a reading activity and a whole class plenary. It is highly interactive and allows children to practise a range of language skills.
