A KS2 D&T project spanning approx. five hours - inspired by the BLOODHOUND LSR Car Project. You’ll be designing, making and testing all terrain wheels from aluminium drinks cans in a series of 7 activities.

Cover the majority of the KS2 D&T Curriculum with this sustainable, fun and low cost project. Easily adapted for older students to encompass teamworking, resilience, and the iterative engineering process, and science investigative skills - ideal for activity week or end of term.

The comprehensive pack includes a presentation with videos, curriculum links, lesson overviews, cardboard test car templates, a guide to working with aluminium cans, risk assessments, additional research resources, and an engineering diary template.

The BLOODHOUND LSR Project aims to beat the land speed record with a Jet and Rocket Powered Car, to inspire a new generation into STEM subjects. It’s already been proven to 628 mph - follow us on our adventure to test new technologies and human resilience!
