I have done this lesson with Y8 around Easter time but could be done any time of the year. The only link to Easter is that it is about a rabbit. This lesson is based on a German picture book ‘Der Hase mit der roten Nase’ by Helme Heine. In the lessons the students explore rhyming sounds, work on memorisation skills and ultimately write their own version of the poem. My class really enjoyed it.
