In this FREE KS2 maths teaching resource pupils practise recognising 1/2, 1/4 and 3/4 as decimal equivalents. It is an ideal teaching aid to use in a lesson covering some of the year 4 curriculum objectives in the maths programme of study (Fractions, including decimals). Content includes:
- Decimal equivalents explanation using pictorial representations to support conversion
- Shading 0.5, 0.25 and 0.75 of a shape activity
- Find the shaded amount of a shape as a decimal activity
- Using knowledge of equivalent fractions convert fractions to decimals activity
- All the above activities are included on an accompanying worksheet
