TELLING TIME IN ITALIAN DOMINOES GAMES - great for developing language skills in Italian, as well as practising how to tell time in Italian - 3 games, 3 challenges!

FOCUS ON O’CLOCK, HALF PAST, QUARTER TO AND PAST THE HOUR ANALOGUE CLOCK TIME

These Italian Telling Time Dominoes Games will definitely help your students develop their skill in telling time in Italian in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, learning independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, and reading. They’re absolutely ideal for independent learning, and perfect for pair and small-group work. Students can work happily challenging themselves and each other to create a perfect domino time-sequence line, on the classroom floor or on a long(ish) table, by matching the times and the clock faces.

There are three differentiated games & levels of challenge:

Chillout Challenge One features the clock times in numerical order, 1 - 12

Champion Challenge Two features all the clock times in topsy-turvy order, which adds a higher level of challenge, as students tend to learn times in numerical order

Supercharged Challenged Three features all the times in topsy-turvy order, but with the clock faces first, which requires students to think about time a little differently

We play regularly across the school year, not just when when we’re introducing telling time - this really does help learners embed language. I’ve found that playing against a timer works really well too - students enjoy seeing if they can beat their own time record.
