This is a single lesson on character in the novel ‘Maggot Moon’ by Sally Gardner. The lesson focuses on the characters Hector and Standish and how to analyse the way in which they are presented in the novel. The lesson builds upon the skills of analysis needed in a novel unit and build up to pupils writing a PEA paragraph towards the end of the lesson. This could take one or two lessons depending on your class.
