A Connect4 game to support learning of Christmas vocabulary for French learners.
I usually split the class into teams of 2 and have them compete to remember vocabulary/pronunciation. You can make this more challenging for more able, for example by requiring the vocab item to be part of a sentence; part of a sentence in a different tense, etc.
Includes a full list of vocabulary featured in the game on a second slide
Must be used in edit mode rather than slide show mode.
It takes at least half an hour with an average-sized class to finish this activity.
